From our intial response to the European Copmmissions consultation in 2010 to July 2012 when the European commission announced its proposal for mandatory European wide Road Worthiness Testing (RWT) – previously known as Periodic Technical Inspections for PTWs (Powered Two Wheelers – motorcycles, scooters and mopeds) and as we know it in the UK the MoT.
The proposal contains proposals as regards other vehicles and administration, however for motorcyclists the issue is that all member states would have to introduce mandatory RWT and there would be changes to our MoT..
