MRF Reports

The Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) reports on the SAFERIDER Saga in the U.S.

The March-April 2011 “MRF Reports”, their bi-monthly information bulletin, carries Right To Ride’s report – Saferider Saga Goes On And On!

Featured in full on page 51 of the MRF bulletin, our report commented on a BBC article – “Motorbikes ‘to get safe driving aids’” and the reaction from FEMA (Federation of European Motorcyclists Associations), referring to a press release by a company called MIRA who were partners with FEMA in the SAFERIDER consortium.

The MRF report also carries the FEMA press release starting on page 45,  giving their perspective to the issue.

Our thanks to MRF for including our article on SAFERIDER and others that we have published, in this  and previous issues of their bulletin.

Who Are The Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF)?

The MRF is a membership-based national motorcyclists’ rights organization, incorporated in 1987,  and headquartered in Washington, D.C. in the United States.

They are committed to less federal government involvement in riders daily life, they firmly support the rights of the individual state governments to enact legislation without the threat of federal intervention.

The organization concerns itself with what is going on in the arena of motorcycling safety education, training, licensing, and public awareness and provides members and state motorcyclists’ rights organizations with direction and information to protect motorcyclists’ rights and motorcycling.

The MRF also work with allies in Europe and Asia to influence talks on vehicle globalization and harmonization that are proceeding under the United Nations and the World Health Organization (WHO) which will have an effect on United States national issues.

They stand for freedom of choice, freedom from unsafe highways, and freedom from unfair and overly restrictive federal and international regulations.
