FIM – Ride With Us!

The FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) has announced that its magazine, Ride With Us! is now available online.

Located in the media section of the FIM website the online magazine covers, what you would expect from the governing body for motorcycle sport,  a range of reports, interviews and articles from MotoGP, Superbike, Endurance, Motocross, Supercross, Trial, Enduro, Cross-Country Rallies, Speedway and a report from Bonneville Salts Flats on land speed records.

Also thrown into the magazine are a couple news items and articles from FIM – Touring and Leisure – Public Affairs.

Although FIM may be recognised for its sporting activities it is also active and involved in the following areas of public affairs, road safety, touring and protection of the environment.

FIM Public Affairs deals with the safety of riders on the road and also the quality and safety of products used in motorcycling.

It advises FIM Management – particularly in relation to international and EU law which increasingly affects motorcycling.

It also supports the Continental Unions and National Federations of the FIM, and riders in general, in dealing with national governments and agencies.

It has a major role in the promotion of rider training.

FIM Touring and Leisure studies and co-ordinates all activities aimed at creating special services for motorcycle-riding tourists and developing road-based motorcycling as a legitimate means of recreation and transport and shall establish close co-operation with the other extra-sporting Commissions.

It shall promote the cause of motorcycling with land planning authorities and environmentalists.

It shall direct the Tourist Gatherings organised under the banner of the FIM and draw up the rules applicable to them.

It shall co-ordinate non-competition activities involving historical vehicles in co-operation with national and international bodies active in this field.

It shall advise the CdD on all steps which should be taken in such matters.
