eupresideninterview As a motorcyclist – scooterist or – a European Powered Two/Three Wheeled (PTW) rider you could have the chance to go to Strasbourg to interview the President of the European Parliament – Martin Schulz!

With European legislation on motorcycling and road safety a focus for the European Parliament, you can – according to the European Parliament – be, “Creative,  funny, think out of the box…  with only two rules: do not exceed 200 characters and you need to post your entry before noon 20th May 2013.”

So what question/s would you like to ask in an interview of Mr Schulz as a two wheel or three wheel rider?

Of course you could rant and rave, but with the passion that is involved in motorcycling we are sure you can think up a question that could be creative funny or out of the box, to put Mr Schulz on the spot regards  motorcycling.

Come to Strasbourg to interview the president of the European Parliament!

Thanks to this unique opportunity, three of you will be invited to come to Strasbourg in July – to interview the president!

How can I take part in the competition?

Nothing could be easier: just tell us why it should be you! Post it here – in the FB event. Be creative, be funny, think out of the box… There are only two rules: do not exceed 200 characters and you need to post your entry before noon 20 May.

The Parliament’s Facebook team together with the cabinet of the president will then pre-select ten candidates.

After that, your peers – the other fans of the European Parliament on Facebook – will vote in the next 10 days for the ones they’d like to send to Strasbourg.

What is at stake?

The three winners will be invited for a two-day trip to Strasbourg (1-3 July). They will not only meet and interview the president, they will also have a chance to see the Parliament, see how it works and follow the crucial debates.

Their interview will be later published on the EP website and social media channels. Accommodation, travel expenses and meals will be arranged for and covered by the European Parliament!

Who can take part in the competition?

There are only four restrictions: you have to be at least 18 years old, live in a European Union country (+Croatia), be available on 1-3 July to come to Strasbourg and confirm your availability in 24 hours.

The ten nominees and subsequently the three winners will be announced on the event page and contacted via Facebook mail – so please make sure to check your mail on the days in question!
